What to Know before bringing home your Puppy!

Boxer puppies make a great addition to the family but before you bring home your new puppy there are some things you may want to consider. As with bringing any new pup into the home, you’ll want to do your research and make sure that the puppy is a great fit for your family.

When considering a boxer it is crucial to know that boxers have a lot of energy and they need to be exercised every day for at least an hour a day. These dogs are known to have endless energy and are highly active. To avoid unwanted behavioral problems, this breed needs to have both physical and mental stimulation to keep them occupied. Boxers are extremely intelligent and because of this require an extra amount of stimulation to keep them occupied.

When you get your puppy it is incredibly important to make sure you’re giving the puppy adequate attention from a young age. Without attention, this can cause behavioral issues and a harsh temperament among the puppy. If you don’t give the puppy enough attention from a young age then it can cause separation anxiety and aggression. It’s common for boxers to become attached to their owners and have issues when apart from them.

Boxers are known to slobber all over the place and they also love to get dirty. To keep their coats shiny and beautiful keep up on a regular grooming schedule.

Afraid of how your boxer will react to your kids or friend’s kids, they maybe hyper and jump but they’re not a mean-tempered dog. These dogs are great around kids of all ages, to make sure that they know how to behave around kids expose them to kids from newborn to teens so that your boxer can get to know them.

If you’re looking for a great family dog, boxers are the perfect addition to the family. These dogs are well tempered and make a great addition if trained and loved from an early age.
